Placing your commission

Please call or email me with the details you have in mind and I will be happy to provide a quote for the work and an estimated delivery date.  In order to reserve your position in my production queue, we will need the details you have in mind for your commission, your shipping address, phone number or email and a non-refundable deposit of $150 for a scabbard and $300 for a sword.

No commissions will be taken without a deposit and your contact information.  Deposits can be arranged via personal check or money order, credit card, or PayPal , contact me for details.  Payment plans are available.  All payments must be made in US funds.

Shipping your commission

On all shipments you will be assessed actual shipping costs based on the destination, value, dimensions and weight of the package.

My preferred carrier for domestic shipments is FedEx Ground. International shipments are generally carried via postal system. I will provide an estimate of these costs for you prior to confirming your commission, but please be aware that there will be some variations in that cost. On international shipment all customs, duties and VATs will be payable at delivery and are not included in the estimate. Obtaining any local permits or licensing necessary for my product will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please check with your local agencies.

Waiting for completion of your commission

I do not stock items, so all commissions must be made to your specifications.  This will entail a wait of several weeks to several months, depending on the nature of your commission.  You will be provided with a projected completion date when your commission is confirmed and you can expect updates as your commission moves through the production process.  All schedules are estimates only. I do not guarantee delivery on the projected date, although I do make every effort to meet that date.

Making the final payment

Although you are free to make payment whenever it is most convenient for you during the production process, the final payment for your commission is due when the dressing process begins (generally 4-6 weeks prior to your projected ship date), as the piece will be dressed to your specifications and from this point is considered a custom piece.  I will send you a reminder when I’m ready to dress your sword, so that we can make arrangements for the payment.  Once you have made the payment, you can expect progress photos during the process and an approval photo prior to shipping.

Returning a purchase

Purchases may be returned within 30 days of receipt if they are unused and in the original packaging.

My product warranty extends for one year from date of purchase and covers defects in material and workmanship.  Damage caused by modification, abuse, misuse, negligence, or improper use is not covered.  Please note that cutting any media other than tatami mats, plastic water bottles or foam pool noodles will likely be considered improper use.  Wood, branches, armour, pipes, etc. should never be cut.  I reserve the right to decide if a sword has been improperly used and thus voided the warranty.

If I agree to accept the return of an item under the terms of the above agreement the following conditions will apply:

You are responsible for the return shipping costs.

Refunds are subject to a 15% redemption fee.  This fee covers bank charges and other costs which are otherwise unrecoverable for me.  Please allow up to 60 days for us to process your refund.

No refunds will be offered on custom work as my time and expenses for this are completely unrecoverable.
